I know not many people come to see this blog, but for those of you who happen to stop by, I bet you'll be surprised when you see this. It's one of Lady GaGa's early songs when she was still in NYU, and it's amazingly different from her current songs. And in my opinion, it's a significant load better too.

I mean, it's definitely a far cry from her current songs, which tend to be all about sex and things like that but this one actually has some meaning in it. I like it!

I really like this song by the Used, kind of means alot to me now :O And I've always loved the Used! Hahaha. You should listen to their songs, some of them are pretty good ;)

It's like the individual's made the decision not to let the other person hurt him or her anymore, but still somehow wishes they could go back to it. Kind of ironic?

Okay I cannot help but love this song by the Rascal Flatts! I can relate to it in many many many instances and whao it's just a really awesome song :)

I think it's about not telling someone how you really felt about them and then having to live with the fact that you never told them. It's kinda meaningful I guess. It's about how you should tell someone how you feel because there's no way of telling if they'll be here tomorrow.

Maybe some (if any) of you will know that my all-time favourite band is Switchfoot :) Anyway, I was listening to some of their songs and recently I've been kind of down, things haven't been going right, yeah you get the drift. Then I came across this one, it's one of their more well-known songs, and also from the soundtrack of A Walk to Remember, amazing movie!

It's a pretty powerful song, and it really means alot to me. It's like, both lyrically and dynamically stunning, at least in my opinion :O I mean, music's one of the things that just wows me, because it's transcendent - Anyone, anywhere can enjoy it. And everyone's going to interpret songs differently but yeah, nonetheless, it's still beautiful :)

You shouldn't let your environment influence you, you should influence your environment. The song's like an affirmation to live your life on your own terms and not be driven by fear. I think it's kind of fitting, I think this song is an expression of his dissatisfaction with the way he lives, I feel like that too :( I'm tired of letting society & culture drive my life. I'd rather take the wheel into my own hands. Even if it means not being accepted by the hive or sacrificing a comfortable lifestyle.
Be your own person, forget about what everyone else is doing! Be happy with yourself :)

Recently on AI, Adam Lambert sang one of my favourite songs really well (Made me pretty happy :)) Anyway the song's Mad World by Gary Jules and I think it's pretty good. Here:

I think it's a pretty interesting song. It's from the movie Donnie Darko, and trust me that movie is amazing. I recommend it to everyone, it's really good, and it's actually kind of disturbing "The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had" Imagine how bad things must be for someone to be able to say that and actually mean it. "Made to feel the way that every child should, sit and listen" How people are always being controlled. Don't speak up, just listen and do as you're told. "Bright and early for their daily races, going nowhere" Trying hard everyday, and it all comes down to nothing at the end. Where are we going?

A while ago, Shuying and Abitay came over to my place and we were watching some videos on YouTube. Shuying showed us this really interesting music video and I think it'd be nice to share it :)

Imagine how much time it took just to finish that video! But I think it was really worth it huh :) Plus, the song's catchy and the lyrics are good. I love how the lyrics are such wonderful slices of her life, I love the little sketches of the different areas of her interest. The bit about hearing the noise outside and pondering if it's a stranger stopping by or a letter in the mail. You're constantly hoping for life's wonders to come to you when you're trapped inside your own world. When you're stuck in a daydream, people out in reality don't know you're off in another world, and they seem so strange and foreign. "As she goes in a store, where the people are pleasantly strange"
She must be very lonely :(

Isn't it sad how people who have all the money are always the ones getting the things easy? As in, things that they could pay for themselves just come to them for free and for the people who don't have the money, they don't get anything. :( And everyone does so much just to be rich and famous. I don't like it. :(

Livejournal! It's been waaaaay too long since I've last used Lj and I kind of miss it. Anyway, this blog will probably be for just random stuff! Random thoughts / whatever, I'll still be using my Xanga for daily / weekly / (y'know what I mean) updates. I'll be leaving my Livejournal for a while, see when I want to use it! Let's just hope I don't forget about this place :) Time to go update my Xanga, after over a month! How exciting. |
